Central to the Grace & Savour ethos is its commitment to localism, a philosophy embodied by its on-site farm. Eschewing imported staples such as olives and opting instead for a strictly British larder, the kitchen redefines the possibilities of regional cuisine. This approach, while ambitious, adds to the freshness and flavour of each dish.

The experience starts with a tour of the on-site farm and gardens followed by time to relax in your bedroom’s lounge, where you can have a glimpse at the preparations being made in the open kitchen ahead of the multi-course extravaganza.

The Chef Director, David Taylor, was mentored by Glynn Purnell and later worked in some of the highest quality restaurants in North America and Scandinavia. Whilst working at Maaemo in Norway, he became part of the team that won three Michelin stars.

Deciding to open Grace and Savour with his wife Anette, the couple moved to London and, ahead of opening the restaurant, forged relationships with the local farmers, growers and makers to ensure they were at the heart of every dish.

The food at Grace & Savour isn’t just delicious—it appears on a plate like a work of art; and if it didn’t smell so good, you’d feel bad even touching it. The menu is only presented at the end of the meal, adding an extra element of excitement that enhances the dining experience. Within the 15-course meal each dish has standout qualities. The crispy artichoke stuffed with artichoke cream delivers a perfect balance of crunch and velvety richness. The choux pastry for dessert is light, elegant, and makes you want to applaud after your last bite.

Each space offers a soothing retreat, with views of the restaurant’s architectural centrepiece and the verdant gardens beyond. Thoughtful details abound, from salts placed in a crafted bowl next to the freestanding in-room bath, to the milk and cookies awaiting upon your return.
